APP (Atactic Polypropylene) Polymer Bitumen Membrane is a plastomeric waterproofing membrane manufactured in an advanced continuous calendaring process by saturating and coating a synthetic carrier with a waterproofing compound made of special grade of bitumen, modified with APP polymers and fillers. While the modifiers enhance the thermal, mechanical, and aging properties of membrane compound, the mechanical characteristics of the Membrane are established by the non-woven continuous Polyester carrier, which acts as the reinforcement that provides the membrane with tensile, strength, tear resistance, and elongation.
The upper surface of the APP Membrane is covered with an anti-adhesive, finish material, whereas the lower face is laminated with a thermofusible polyethylene film.
USES
APP Membranes are multi-purpose membranes for roofing & waterproofing applications subjected to different mechanical stresses and normal weathering conditions, in multi layer systems and can be used as a single layer in specific application.
APP Membranes are particularly recommended for the following applications.
- Roofing or re-roofing works forsloped and flat protected roofs.
- Waterproofing of wet areas, mechanical rooms and terraces.
APP Membrane with MINERAL finish is used for applications where cement based systems/products are installed over the membrane.
